So for my identity concept I was thinking of using my name
as the focus and expanding from there because my name itself reflects my
ethnicity.
By the way my name is of Aztec origin. Aztec --> Mexican
So I'll first mention its origin in the first page of the booklet and somehow incorporate aztec imagery then I can go about how my view/attitude towards my name has changed over the years.
All throughout grade school I was indifferent about it having only attended one fairly small school, the faculty never struggled with its pronunciation.
High school made me completely hate it; people were always giving me a hard time in my opinion. At one point, one girl even addressed to me "whatever your name is" I gave her one of my dead stares, she apologized the next day (but still).
Now in college I'm over it.
That's what I've come up with so far.
Structure: deconstructive & geometric
Format: 6 pages
